چکیده

Introduction and Aim: Six Minute Walk Test (6MWT) spirometry are commonly used tests to assess the functional status of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases (COPD) patients. However, many other simpler like Sit Stand (STST) also available. This study is done utility STST in comparison 6MWT evaluate COPD patients our hospital. Materials Methods: a prospective an observational conducted on 50 Each patient underwent subjected STST. Quadriceps femoris muscle powers measured for every before start study. During test, dyspnoea grade, Pulse rate, respiratory saturation blood pressure were measured. Results: In this group mean age was 60.38±11.09 years, FEV1 55.24% ±16.18% then correlating with each other. On comparing parameters hemodynamic after performing 30 seconds. There significant correlation between using Pearson’s correlation. there negative both Conclusion: stand test less time consuming, repeatable easy perform. can determine similar Spirometry Six-minute walk test. Hence, be alternative limited resource facility.

The Correlation Between the Six Minute Walk Test and Spirometric Parameters in Patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Introduction: Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease affect nearly every organ system. Pulmonary involvement, which is a common manifestation of SLE, can remain undiagnosed if asymptomatic. This study aimed to evaluate the efficiency of spirometric findings in early detection of silent pulmonary involvement and examine its correlation with the six minute walk test in SLE pa...

The six-minute walk test.

The American Thoracic Society has issued guidelines for the 6-minute walk test (6MWT). The 6MWT is safer, easier to administer, better tolerated, and better reflects activities of daily living than other walk tests (such as the shuttle walk test). The primary measurement is 6-min walk distance (6MWD), but during the 6MWT data can also be collected about the patient's blood oxygen saturation and...

Comparison between the six-minute walk test and the six-minute step test in post stroke patients

BACKGROUND The Stroke remains one of the major chronic diseases worldwide, and is considered a major cause of disability, which results not only in persistent neurological deficits, but also in the high physical deconditioning, nevertheless there are not many forms of assessing functional capacity in this population. We aimed to investigate the feasibility of the Six Minute Walk Teste and the S...
